Solid Creative Labs ("we", "us", "our") is a sole proprietorship providing app and web development services. We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it responsibly in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 (the "Act").

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit solidcreativelabs.com, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. Please read it carefully.

We collect personal information in two ways:

a) Contact form
When you fill in our contact form we collect your name, email address, chosen subject, and the message you write. You provide this information voluntarily.

b) Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics automatically collects data such as your approximate location, device type, browser, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you. It is processed by Google LLC under their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and communicate with you about your project
  • Understand how our website is used and improve it over time

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, we process your personal data on the following bases:

  • Consent — you voluntarily submit your details through our contact form
  • Legitimate interest — we have a legitimate interest in understanding how our website performs so we can improve it

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Resend — our email delivery provider. When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are transmitted to us via Resend's infrastructure. Resend does not use this data for its own purposes. See Resend's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data about visitors to our site. Google may transfer this data to servers in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions (your name, email, subject, and message) for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry and maintain a record of our correspondence — typically no longer than two years. Analytics data retained by Google is governed by Google's own retention settings.

7. Your Rights under the Kenya Data Protection Act

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Erasure — request that we delete your personal information
  • Objection — object to our processing of your personal information
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your information

We will respond to any request within 21 days as required by the Act.
